Today is the first day of my fourth month of life. And how do parents celebrate? By taking me to get my second round of vaccination! Boo... That's one shot in each thigh PLUS an oral vaccination. But I'd say I handled it pretty well. I just cried when the needle went in and for a few seconds afterwards. And guess what? I'm fever-free! Yay me! I did throw a little temper tantrum after my three-hour nap (Mom allowed me to sleep longer, hoping it will make me forget the traumatizing needle experience).
I also learned today that I won't be meeting my Grand-uncle Mao this week. Double Boo! Blame it on that stupid swine flu and all those crazy congested pig farms (I can rightfully say this because I haven't personally consumed any pork products). But I guess that gives me more time to decide how to address him. 毛毛舅公? 小舅公? Can't just call him 舅公公cuz then what would I call my other grand-uncle? hmmm... dilemma dilemma...
I guess with all that swine flu fear circulating and the fact that flu viruses survive longer during winter months, my upcoming trip to Sydney will be canceled, too. Bummer! I was so looking forward to the clean, dry air, the sun, the beach, the food! Well... the food part is Mom, really. Perhaps I'll "summer" there when it's winter in the northern hemisphere. =) X'mas barbeque, here I come!
